How Using Facebook  For Donating Books to Children “Free” Is A Simple Concept That Works

Internet Marketing expert  Antonio Katemi who is one of cofounders of lexusventas ecommerce site speaks candidly about how businesses  will benefit  from the publicity and promotion   developed for “donating books to children” without spending  a penny.   The beauty of this offer is that businesses win and as a result they are able to contribute to a very good cause.

Panama city Panama  August  29, 2011-   While a web based  " Weekly FREE Giveaway" is not a new concept on the web however this new twist is fresh, effective and  different.  “What is weekly free giveaway?” Mr. Katemi  who loves this strategy and calls it a win-win concept replies, “we think we place businesses in a very positive place by asking them to participate in this free give away program.

Angela Ramirez, sales manager at http://lexusventas.com  explains,     “Businesses simply  provide us 2 of the same product or service and we promote them on Facebook and other virtual mediums   as FREE GIVEAWAYS.  Those who are interested in winning the gift simply like our page and "register to win".  they enter into a pool which we make a lucky drawing every week and give the product or service away to a random winner in our page.   The lucky Winner is announced every week of the month and the winner have 3 days to claim their Free Giveaway.  We send them a simple instruction to follow to claim their winning.  If they do not claim their gift,  we offer the GIFT for sale to those who "liked" our page on a online sales.   The proceeds then is donated to the school of the month toward purchase of  books and other products.   Products given to school of the month is in the name of the business who donated the gift as well as the person who finally bought the gift.    Simple concept and the business win  because we are promoting them free of charge  and also place them on our  sponsors wall  at http://blog.lexusventas.com/nuestros-patrocinadores/  which helps our curious   visitors find those who care about the children and who are participating with us.

Ultimately the promotion generates more interest and visitors for the business and gives the business a reputation as a contributor to children’s education and schools who need help.

"Businesses can upload their website,  company name, email and also information about their specialty and product and services they offer to our blog" added Katemi,  we make doing business with http://lexusventas.com a pleasure and very easy.

Katemi is asking all businesses to volunteer for this project at no cost and not wait for lexusventas promotion team to contact them.  There is absolutely no monitory cost and the cause is a great cause.  Children literacy is taken seriously at lexusventas   and the joy of reading is one of the best gifts we can offer our children in Panama.   If we get involved in a child’s life at an early age, we are able to help the child  and also get them ready to compete in the world much better.  Get  involved and spread the news and information about the free books for children program and let this program succeed in the grass route community level.     http://lexusventas.com  is open to public in a   “Grand Opening”    August 24, 2011 at the Expo Libros in Atlapa Convention Center, Panama City Panama booth 145.   Please visit them and be part of the experience

Panama’s First Online Bookstore seeks French Cuisine Chef To Help With Children Causes

Internet expert with one of Panama’s premier technology companies Antonio Katemi confirmed French Chef Tania Batalla who joined Global Clic Marketing  to promote the “recipe of the week” strategy, is ready to bring 30 minute cooking to the net.  She will be  creating beautifully plates  that come directly from cook books offered on the Lexusventas  website and she will put her own twist and expert commentaries on the preparation of the  dishes.

Chef Tania commented,  “Families having busy lives would enjoy the quick prep nutritious dishes with resturant quality layout".  We have to create an experience that compels our audience to experiment and create restaurant grade food in the privacy of their own home.  This strategy allows us to also introduce recipe books from around South & Central America to Panama.  The show can be read and viewed at     our blog “.

Panama city Panama  August  20, 2011-  Cooking in 30 minutes is not a new concept.  There are several TV shows dedicated to this concept.  What make recipe of the week special at our blog, is that we have the cookbooks from around the world and the chef has choices in what she wants to create with Panamanian and other fusion.   This strategy is very interesting for two reasons.    Potential of the web,  Global Clic Marketing in partnership with Lexus Editorial has gone full force in creating the first online bookstore in Panama with a number two, bold attempt to get the community involved in the children’s education.

As Katemi Shared,   “The kitchen is the central fueling station for the body and brain.   We know with the busy life we live, nutritious and inviting food will be a great way to motivate children to stick to the basic food that develops the brain, tastes good and also looks appealing.  We will look at options beyond “the easy”. Children need protein for brain growth and I always wonder if there is enough protein in a child’s daily diet.  We will try to focus on balanced meals with taste to motivate the  appetite .

Katemi  is again very clear in his message that the key to success of the entire program is the community involvement  as a whole.   The recipe books will be there for learning, trying and then for purchase. Every purchase will count and as a we build sales, it only help put more books in the schools that needs them and for children to enjoy them.     The size of the donation will depend solely on our efforts to inform the public and also market this concept to business owners who care and want to be involved in this great effort without spending real dollars.

Katemi encourages everyone to get involved and spread the news and information about the free books for children program and let this program succeed in the grass route community level.     Lexusventas is open to public in a   “Grand Opening”    August 24, 2011 at the Expo Libros in Atlapa Convention Center, Panama City Panama booth 145.   Please visit them and be part of the experience.

Best Bottle Of Water For Less Than a Penny!! - Panama Has One Of The Purest Drinking Water In World - But

Casco_antiguo

Panama is truly blessed with one of the purest drinking waters in the world.  I have had the opportunity to live in Panama City , Panama for the past 2 years and I am yet to feel the need to buy 1 bottle of water.  Water directly from the faucet has the most incredible taste and odor.   When food is cooked with this water,  the  result is incredible taste.  I am not advertising water in Panama but rather this incredible gift is being compromised due to heavy rains and landslide that tore into  Panama's drinking water system.

Much study was done in the aftermath of the storm that was the cause of the water issues in Panama.  Here is more on that from Science Daily.

  — An aerial survey of landslides has helps scientists evaluate the effect of a prolonged tropical storm on the water supply in the Panama Canal watershed. To understand the long-term effects of a prolonged tropical storm in the Panama Canal watershed, Robert Stallard, staff scientist at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and research hydrologist at the U.S. Geological Survey, and Armando Ubeda, the LightHawk Mesoamerica program manager, organized four flights over the watershed to create a digital map of landslide scars.

Two feet of heavy rain inundated the Panama Canal watershed between Dec. 7 and 10, 2010. Landslides tore down steep slopes, choking rivers with sediment and overwhelming Panama City's water-treatment plant. Flooding closed the Panama Canal for the first time since 1935. Despite the deluge, the influx of sediments in the water forced authorities to shut down the plant, leaving a million residents of central Panama without clean drinking water for nearly a month.

LightHawk, a conservation organization based in the U.S., donates flights for research and conservation efforts. Retired United Airlines captain David Cole flew the Cessna 206 aircraft, and the four flights yielded images of 191 square miles (495 square kilometers) of watershed. Stallard observed numerous new landslide scars left behind by the December storm, supporting his prediction that landslides supplied much of the suspended sediment that disrupted Panama's water supply.

The new watershed erosion map will allow Stallard and collaborators from the Panama Canal Authority to calculate the landslide risk of future storms and direct strategies to minimize the effect on Panama's water supply.

Tropical hydrologists agree that river-borne sediment originates from surface erosion or from deep erosion from landslides. In 1985, Stallard predicted that "deep erosion, not shallow surface erosion, is the primary process controlling the chemistry and sediment levels in many tropical rivers that pass through mountainous areas." Few studies have been conducted to test this prediction.

Deforestation of steep slopes is the primary factor determining the number of landslides. Six decades of aerial photographs analyzed by USGS researchers in similar landscapes in Puerto Rico showed that landslide frequency doubles outside protected nature preserves, and that roads and infrastructure make landslides eight times more likely. Although landslides happen in natural forests, the objective is to limit their impact through appropriate land-use practices.

"With development, landslide intensity increases dramatically," said Stallard. "In its history, the Panama Canal watershed has experienced huge floods. It's still hard to say whether future floods will be accompanied by disastrous landslides like those produced by Hurricane Mitch in Central America." In 1998, Hurricane Mitch swept across Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador causing more than 10,000 deaths and incalculable economic damage. Panama's proximity to the equator puts the country outside the usual hurricane zone, but prolonged tropical storms may occur.

Erosion control is possible. Partnering with the Panama Canal Authority and Panama's Environmental Authority, the Smithsonian is conducting a 700 hectare experiment in the canal watershed funded by the HSBC Climate Partnership to compare the effects of land-use choices, such as cattle ranching or reforestation with native tree species on water supply, carbon storage and biodiversity. Stallard hopes that this research will provide new information about which land uses provide a steady supply of clean water for the Canal.

With the first rains in May, the eight-month wet season begins anew in central Panama. Drinking water flows freely, the rivers are clear and the Panama Canal is open for business. But bare slopes of past landslides continue to create secondary erosion, which will dislodge sediments from the steep, rainy and rugged Panama Canal watershed in 2011. The long-term effects of the 2010 storm may continue as renewed interruptions in the water supply in 2011
