Casco Viejo has a twin in David?.

Panama -  Now tourists visiting David can enjoy a similar experience that is available in Panama City. Casco Viejo is one of the jewels of Panama City.  It is a must see on all Panama visitors list.
ATP was a great influence in making sure the project was taking off the ground.  They donated more than 100,000USD to the project and now there is a similar experience available in David. Casco Viejo of David is a new tourist attraction that has to be promoted by all of us.

The local and foreign visitors will have a place where they can walk and visit the four touristic spots of the old sector of Bolivar.

The colonial cobble from which the streets are made off in the XX century was found underground where the Educational path of Rafael Benitez Palacios was built, and then transferred to the main square, as it was a historical piece of this meeting spot of tourism, which opens today, May 3rd, in this city.

The path was inspired in "Camino de Cruces" (CrossRoads) so that the local and foreign tourists, after arriving to this city, can have a place where they can go and visit the top four touristic spots of this place: the Jose Domingo de Obaldia Museum, the Cathedral Tower, the San Jose de David Church (with its evangelical paintings) and the small Guerra de Coto Museum (located in Los Linces Building, right in front of Parque Bolivar).

Yamel Gozaine, the architect who was behind the design of this path, said that in conjunction with Riacsa firm, owned by Ricardo Arauz, a work supported by teamwork left a mark that the visitors can observe and enjoy.

The Tourism Authority of Panama donated $92,700 USD for the construction of this project, as well as 10 thousand dollars for the signposting of the old streets.
