Teatre Nacional or National Theater in Panama City Panama was built in a Neo-Classic style, in 1903. Designed by Italian architect, Genaro Ruggeri. The first show or gand opening was on October 1, 1908 and it was to celebrate the inauguration of José de Obaldía, the second president of Panama.
With over 850 well configured seats, the theater features on its main ceiling and foyer, frescoes by Roberto Lewis, the most renowned Panamanian painter of the first half of the 20th century.
